School, Daycare & Service Group Tours
Spring & Summer Tours
- Ideal for groups that would like to spend more time on the farm learning about aspects of vegetable production
- Tour includes a walk around the farm site, veggie fields, herb garden, river view, and explanation of some farm equipment
- Children receive a colouring sheet
- Picnic area is available (weather permitting) to enjoy a bag lunch
- Berry picking for additional cost (price of the berries)
- Prices and times variable based on number of individuals and day of week and needs of the group
Autumn HALLOWEEN Tours
- This tour focuses on the plant life cycle of pumpkins and provides an opportunity to examine different pumpkin varieties grown on the farm
- Children will explore the "Children’s Display Garden" (when available) which features several types of vegetable plants through the life cycle
- A walk around the farm tailored to the age of the children
- Each child will receive a colouring page to take home
- Our Fall Displays, strawbale maze and Haunted House will be ready at the beginning of October
- The class can have photos taken in the pumpkin display
- Picnic area is available (weather permitting) for students to enjoy a bag lunch
Important Information
- All school/daycare groups must have adequate number of parents/supervisors to ensure safety of children visiting the farm. (one adult per 7 children)
- Extra children brought by attendants should be included in the total number of children attending the farm tour(over 3yrs must pay the admission fee)
- Parents and teaches should bring a camera
- There is no drinking water available on the farm; bring drinks for the children
- Bring hats, mud boots, bug repellent
- Washroom facilities are "jiffy-biffies"
- The school or group is responsible for any damages caused by the attendees
Lincoln Gardens and Corn Maiden Market will do the best to ensure the safety of individuals visiting the farm, however, schools, daycares and service groups hold the primary responsibility of ensuring that attendees stay with the group and do not engage in any behaviours that would put themselves or others at risk of injury
Lincoln Gardens Rules/Requests:
- Walk. No Running
- Watch for moving vehicles in the parking lot
- Do not step on the rows, plants, flower beds etc
- No jumping on, throwing or kicking pumpkins
- Do not pick anything unless you are told it is okay
- Stay with the group
- Watch where you walk. There are sticks and rocks to trip on
- Schools are NOT permitted to tour the farm without a guide.
- Do not enter areas that are marked “Staff Only” unless an employee is with you
- Please respect that this is a working farm and our home

Prices
- $3.00 per child: One Pumpkin per classroom will be provided
- $5.00 per child: ONE mini pumpkin per child (this option may not always be available)
- Extra children brought on the tour must be included in the total of attendees.
- Parents & Teachers are free
Booking Times:
- Monday to Friday - 9:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. Other times may be available. (No tours on Wednesdays)
- Tours take approximately 60 minutes.
